Refund Policy
At Jewelou, we stand behind the quality and craftsmanship of our jewelry. Our Refund Policy ensures that you shop with confidence, knowing that your satisfaction is our priority. Effective as of March 25, 2025, this policy applies to all purchases made through jewelou.com.
Eligibility for Returns
To qualify for a refund or exchange, the following conditions must be met:
- The item must be returned within 30 days of the delivery date.
- Jewelry should remain unworn, undamaged, and in its original condition with all tags and packaging intact.
- Custom-made or personalized pieces are non-refundable unless they arrive defective or differ significantly from the description.
Please note that engraved items, resized rings, or altered products fall outside the scope of standard returns. For hygiene reasons, earrings cannot be returned once the protective seal is broken.
Initiating a Return
To initiate a return, follow these steps:
- Contact our customer support team at contact@jewelou.com to obtain a Return Authorization Number (RAN). Include your order number and reason for return in your email.
- Pack the item securely in its original packaging along with the RAN and proof of purchase.
- Ship the package to the address provided in the return instructions. Shipping costs for returns are generally borne by the customer unless the return is due to an error on our part or a defective item.
Once we receive and inspect the returned item, we will notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. Approved refunds are processed within 7-10 business days after inspection.
Refund Methods
Refunds are issued using the original payment method. If you paid via credit card, the refund will appear on your statement within one billing cycle. For bank transfers or other methods, processing times may vary depending on your financial institution.
Exchanges
If you wish to exchange an item for a different size, style, or design, please specify this in your return request. Exchanges are subject to availability, and additional charges may apply if the replacement item exceeds the value of the original purchase. Shipping fees for exchanges are typically the customer’s responsibility.
Damaged or Defective Items
In the rare event that you receive a damaged or defective piece, we apologize for the inconvenience. Please notify us within 7 days of receiving your order by emailing contact@jewelou.com with photos of the issue. We will arrange for a repair, replacement, or refund at no additional cost to you.
